As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, observe and report unusual activity, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Have 1 or more years of armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific policies, completing access control tasks, and supporting security-related procedures at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, gates, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious conditions.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Monitor and document facility activity, including vehicle and pedestrian traffic, deliveries, and contractor presence, and complete detailed reports for security-related events.
• Assist with security-related inspections of key areas such as utility equipment yards and/or substations, and report hazards, damage, or unusual conditions to site management.
