As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain high visibility to help to deter security-related incidents. This armed position involves responding promptly to situations, monitoring access points, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment while demonstrating reliability, integrity, and teamwork in every interaction.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess a TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with location-specific guidelines.
Maintain detailed records and logs of observations, incidents, and activities encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support security-related operations.
Remain alert to unusual activity and report observations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts as required.
Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuations or lockdowns, in accordance with client and Allied Universal protocols.
