As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable. This role involves armed responsibilities and driving, as you conduct routine patrols and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any unusual circumstances to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
  • Operate and inspect security-related equipment as required for the armed patrol post.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
