As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, interact professionally with the public, and support access control. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, remaining alert to unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or activity within the assigned government facility.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
  • Support law enforcement personnel on site by providing information and assistance as directed.
  • Maintain proper handling and control of assigned firearms and adhere to all applicable regulations and policies.
