As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support security-related operations by screening people and items, verifying badges and access, monitoring assigned areas, and documenting activity. You will stay visible to help to deter incidents while delivering customer-focused communication to drivers, visitors, and team members. This post requires a valid in-state driver’s license and offers a role with Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Candidates must have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, contractors and/or visitors at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages and/or deliveries entering controlled areas using approved screening methods and equipment, and document findings per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization and directing traffic flow for pedestrians and/or vehicles.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas and perimeter, watching for irregular conditions and reporting concerns per site protocol.
