As an armed patrol officer in a utilities location, you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to issues, document observations, and support operations with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Conduct armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates, doors, and restricted areas by checking identification, logging entries and exits, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Carry and handle assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and use-of-force guidelines, and complete written reports and/or logs as required.
