About The Position

As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or concerns, document observations, and communicate with site contacts and visitors while providing strong customer service. This armed post requires an armed guard card or license and reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local first responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, work areas, and perimeter, adjusting routes based on activity levels and site requirements.
• Control access at entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, verifying authorization, and documenting visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity per post orders.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol findings, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and/or designated contacts.
