Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication, while documenting activity using site technology. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Support access control activities such as monitoring entrances, verifying identification when required, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with visitor management per site policy.
  • Complete reports and logs related to incidents, patrol findings, and policy exceptions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
