In this armed, driving post, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and conduct visible rounds to help to deter incidents while providing clear, professional communication. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific access control procedures, posting instructions, and security-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing guests to the appropriate department or check-in area.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and/or access control systems, and report unusual activity, malfunctioning equipment, and policy violations through the approved chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, documentation, and coordination with site representatives and/or public agency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and completing required activity logs and incident reports.
