As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will drive between designated areas and conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear, professional communication. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through customer service and timely reporting, while working as part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to clinical staff and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and potential hazards.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations while following privacy expectations.
  • Complete detailed patrol, incident, and activity reports, and communicate security-related concerns and/or maintenance issues to site leadership according to post orders.
