As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment for everyone on site. Position Type: Flex This is a Part Time Position and Not Eligible for Health Benefits or 401k Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control protocols.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to the distribution facility.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, both inside the facility and around the perimeter.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as needed.
Document all security-related activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
Communicate professionally with logistics staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Operate access control systems and other security-related technology to monitor the flow of personnel and vehicles.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to maintain a visible presence and help to deter potential risks or disruptions within the logistics environment.
