Join Allied Universal at a busy transportation location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and monitor entry points and cameras. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Control access at gates and entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting badges or passes, managing visitor sign-in, and directing approved traffic to designated areas.
  • Screen and/or inspect vehicles, deliveries, and packages per site policy, document entries and exits, and report discrepancies to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with dispatch and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, rail yard-adjacent areas, and perimeter as assigned, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity and/or hazards to appropriate contacts.
