As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity to support security-related operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with site teams to help identify issues early and help to deter incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or tracking badges and visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing visitors to the appropriate contact or check-in area.
- Monitor and document inbound and outbound activity, including employee and visitor entry, contractor check-ins, and delivery driver processing, escalating irregularities per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and reports per site policy and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter lines, to help to deter unauthorized access and support site operations.
