As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and team members, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and support smooth visitor processing. You will conduct rounds near key access areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts to help reduce incidents. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, deliver through teamwork, and act with integrity every shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor badges, maintaining access logs, and directing drivers, employees, and vendors to the appropriate check-in areas.
• Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, and report unusual activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, staging areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe conditions, as permitted by site requirements.
