As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will staff access control points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vendor check-ins, and monitor security-related activity to help reduce incidents. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible, and communicate clearly with team members and site leaders. Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of security experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution and logistics location.
  • Control access at employee, visitor, and vendor entry points by checking identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing traffic to authorized areas.
  • Support truck and delivery access control by verifying appointments and documentation, checking inbound and outbound vehicle information, and communicating with site contacts regarding gate activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing timely notifications, reports, and documentation per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, loading areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
