As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage badge and entry procedures, and monitor activity at key access points. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, access control systems, and radio traffic; communicate irregular activity to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, completing reports, and supporting post-incident follow-up.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, staging lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations; working conditions may vary by site area and shift.
