As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access, and greet residents and guests with strong customer service. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document concerns with clear communication. Requirements
- Have 6+ months of security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and access control protocols at a residential location.
- Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, checking credentials and/or guest lists, issuing visitor passes as directed, and maintaining required entry logs.
- Monitor alarms, intercoms, and camera systems as assigned, and report unusual activity to site management and/or public emergency services in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
