As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with residents and staff, respond to concerns, and document observations and/or activity. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, trespassing concerns, noise complaints, and property damage reports.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, verifying authorization when required and directing individuals to appropriate areas according to site procedures.
  • Document routine activity and incidents in written reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly communicate notable conditions to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
