Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and manage badge access for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams while documenting activity using site systems. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Screen and direct inbound and outbound vehicle and foot traffic, including coordinating deliveries and contractor check-ins in accordance with location rules and access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
