Requirements

At least six months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized individuals.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.
Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations, following established procedures in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and security-related procedures.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support the overall security-related operations of the location.
Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to food and beverage industry requirements, to help promote a secure environment.
