About The Position

As a Security Officer - Federal Office Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location supporting traffic operations by conducting routine, high-visibility patrols and monitoring assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will help control access, verify badges, and respond to questions with strong customer service and clear communication. Using a computer and/or tablet to document activity, you will collaborate with site partners while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, backed by a caring, people-first culture and integrity.

Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and local public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs as required.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate shift updates using site-approved systems and radio procedures.
