Job Description As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol in Columbus, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and Allied Universal teammates. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor directions, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Complete required security-related reports and logs such as incident reports, shift activity reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
