About The Position

As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol Driver in Ankeny, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will perform routine mobile and on-foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access questions, and service requests. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and support a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating updates per post orders.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Control access at gates, entrances, and loading docks by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and logging deliveries and contractor activity according to site requirements.
Complete required reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
