As a Security Officer - Financial Entry Screening in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment for clients and staff. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication, embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity while supporting a caring and people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access, following established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or unusual activities as required by site protocols.
  • Support a welcoming and professional environment for visitors, employees, and/or customers while maintaining a strong security-related presence.
