As a Screener in a government location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols, monitoring entry points, and assisting with x-ray screening procedures. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. This position requires a valid driver's license and may involve driving responsibilities as part of your duties.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by performing screening procedures as outlined by site-specific policies and protocols.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the location.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or law enforcement personnel as required.
Maintain accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and/or visitor logs as directed by site protocols.
Remain alert and attentive while stationed at assigned screening points throughout the duration of the shift.
