Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in PHOENIX, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help keep operations moving by conducting entry and package screening, supporting x-ray screening when assigned, and monitoring access points. You will stay visible, complete routine patrols, document security-related activity, and provide clear, courteous customer service to associates and drivers. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen and verify employee, visitor, and driver access by checking identification, confirming appointments and/or loads, and directing arrivals to the appropriate dock, office, or waiting area.
  • Monitor entry points and screening areas for unusual activity, respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete required screening and access control documentation, including visitor logs, pass issuance and recovery, and incident reports, using written and/or electronic systems.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances, trailer yards, and perimeter gates to help identify and report security-related concerns.
