As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and support a smooth check-in process. You will complete routine patrols, monitor activity, document security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site contacts and teammates. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Control entry and exit at designated gates and/or lobbies by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing arrivals to the appropriate departments.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, radios, and access control systems to identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry, then communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing security-related reports and preserving details for follow-up.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to check doors, gates, and restricted areas for policy compliance.
