Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access procedures, identification checks, credential verification, and visitor processing protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen incoming personnel and/or vehicles, verify authorizations, maintain required logs, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders, emergency response instructions, and established security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting conditions, checking for irregularities, and documenting observations according to site requirements.
  • Support security-related operations by communicating with control rooms, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel, assisting with traffic and delivery coordination, and helping to deter unauthorized access or policy violations.
