About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, equipment rooms, and other sensitive spaces.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events, access activity, and unusual conditions according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and key access points, noting anything that may require follow-up by site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Support deliveries, contractor access, and visitor processing by maintaining accurate logs, communicating with site personnel, and following post orders for escort requirements and after-hours entry requests.
