As a Security Officer - Distribution Entry Screener in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas. Your presence will support a secure environment while you interact with team members and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
- PLEASE COME DRESSED IN BUSINESS ATTIRE CLOTHING.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited items.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and support security-related operations.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances in accordance with Allied Universal and client site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support a secure and welcoming environment.
- Remain alert and observant while monitoring for potential security-related concerns throughout the logistics and distribution location.
