As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will greet visitors and drivers, verify credentials, manage entry logs, and monitor gates and cameras for security-related activity. You will stay visible to help to deter unwanted access, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver a customer-focused experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to the proper check-in areas.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer access by confirming shipping and receiving documentation, communicating with site contacts, and documenting gate activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with site evacuation or shelter instructions when directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production-adjacent areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, and report hazards or maintenance concerns to site contacts.
