As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help manage visitor and employee entry points, verify credentials, support badge and sign-in processes, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. You will conduct routine rounds in assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Allied Universal is agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of Security Experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing and collecting visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized guests to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, door alarms, and access control panels to identify irregular activity, report concerns, and document events per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, corridors, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and to identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
