As a Security Officer Entry Examiner in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor screening points, inspect items and/or access areas, and support a professional, customer-focused atmosphere. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment-related documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, operational issues, and/or potential policy violations.
