About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and manage entry and exit points with clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols and report observations that help support security-related operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, and issuing badges and/or passes.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies, including managing vehicle access, checking delivery paperwork, and coordinating with site contacts for authorization.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and complete security-related logs, reports, and notifications in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building exteriors, perimeters, and parking areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
