About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a secure environment through visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and security-related policies at the location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by communicating with site contacts, documenting details, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Help to deter disruptions by maintaining a visible presence at assigned access points, observing facility activity, and reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or security-related issues.
