As an Access Control Officer at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting key events. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, managing sign-in logs, and directing deliveries and service providers to the appropriate locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and report irregular activity, access issues, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, medical calls, and incident documentation as required.
  • Maintain accurate security-related reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate pertinent updates during shift change and/or through the established chain of command.
