About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Mira Loma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a high-volume food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and maintain access logs while supporting site procedures. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds near entrances and key areas, and communicate clearly with operations teams to help reduce security-related issues. Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production and distribution location.
• Operate access control functions, including verifying identification and visitor authorization, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas.
• Monitor and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic at entrances and/or gates, coordinate with receiving and shipping staff for deliveries and pickups, and help to identify unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, watching for unusual activity, unsecured doors, or policy violations, and completing required reports. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
