You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, document activity, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing keys and badges, and maintaining access logs.
• Monitor and acknowledge alarms, cameras, and access control systems; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document security-related activity in reports, including unusual conditions, policy violations, and incident details; support investigations by preserving observations and maintaining chain of custody for found property when required.
