Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and assisting with authorized entry and exit at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, docks, and/or designated access points to help support security-related protocols for people, vehicles, and deliveries entering or leaving the property.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies and emergency response guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, access points, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, damaged barriers, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, and/or incident documentation while communicating professionally with site contacts, employees, and local responders when appropriate.
