As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will welcome staff and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools. You will stay visible at critical access areas, communicate clearly with site teams, and help identify unusual conditions for follow up. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, including verifying identification and authorization.
- Operate visitor management processes including sign-in and sign-out, issuing and collecting site badges, maintaining logs, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in points per post orders.
- Monitor access points, gates, and surrounding areas for unauthorized entry and conditions that may help to deter security-related incidents, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
- Complete security-related reports and documentation, including incident reports and shift activity logs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
