As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and visible rounds, watch for security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors to help maintain an orderly environment. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • EMT Certification is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Monitor access points and check credentials as required, assisting with visitor directions and supporting controlled entry to restricted healthcare areas in line with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public responders as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, including patrol activity, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site contacts.
