Requirements

  • An EMT Certification is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including access control and visitor direction as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating per site protocol and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production areas, labs, data and telecom spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion or fire panels as assigned, and communicate status updates to site contacts and/or dispatch.
  • Complete detailed reports for patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns such as broken doors, lighting issues, and/or unsecured areas, and coordinate follow-up with site management.
