Requirements
- An EMT Certification is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including access control and visitor direction as needed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating per site protocol and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production areas, labs, data and telecom spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion or fire panels as assigned, and communicate status updates to site contacts and/or dispatch.
- Complete detailed reports for patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns such as broken doors, lighting issues, and/or unsecured areas, and coordinate follow-up with site management.
