As an unarmed patrol professional at an educational location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the campus. Your role is to create a welcoming environment by providing outstanding customer service, assisting students, staff, and visitors, and managing access control as needed. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge handling experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings, common areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or access.
Observe for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security-related concerns or risks within the location.
Communicate and collaborate with campus personnel and Allied Universal management to report security-related issues and/or incidents.
Follow post orders and instructions specific to the educational environment and participate in emergency drills or exercises as required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by client site procedures.
