As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to those on site. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity in and around the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs according to site protocols.
Assist with crowd control and direct individuals as needed during events, emergencies, or peak times on campus.
Collaborate with campus staff, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as required.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential security-related risks within the educational environment.
