About The Position

As a Security Officer - Education Front Desk in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, helping to create a welcoming environment while assisting with access control and security-related procedures. Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, as well as site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner at the front desk.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, students, and visitors, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support Allied Universal and client policies through consistent presence and attention at the front desk area.
