About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Front Desk in Carmel, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees. You will help to deter security-related incidents by managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Communicate professionally with staff and guests, answering questions and providing information about the location as needed.
Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter potential security-related issues and promote a welcoming environment.
Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports or logs as required by Allied Universal and site management.
