Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Campus Patrol in Sunnyvale, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention support a positive atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and people-first care. Requirements

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the education location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Document and report all incidents, accidents, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal policies.
Follow all instructions and protocols specific to the education environment to help to deter disruptions and maintain a secure atmosphere.
