Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Campus Patrol in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, contributing to a welcoming and secure environment. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
Report any security-related concerns, hazards, or unusual activities observed during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control, verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals as required by site procedures.
Support Allied Universal in maintaining a visible presence throughout the educational environment, providing information and assistance as needed.
Participate in emergency response activities, following protocols set forth by the site and Allied Universal.
