Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access control and customer inquiries, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related matters.
