Requirements

  • Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential TWIC issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and/or access points, noting suspicious behavior and conditions that could impact operations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or vehicles, helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting established access control procedures.
  • Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and/or public agency representatives regarding post instructions, directions, and security-related concerns while maintaining a professional presence.
